I wanted to write and thank you guys now that things have settled down from the cruise. Crown Princess 12/22/2012 - 12/29/2012. We had a wonderful experience with the Port of Galveston people. I just wish I had names of people to thank, but I didn't think to ask for them. A very nice lady with long hair expertly helped us into the wheelchair accessible shuttle and strapped my friend in. She was also there on the return trip (I rode while my friend stayed with the luggage) But she was so friendly both times, asking people to have a nice time or if they had a nice time.
Once in the port and through security (very smoothly run) another nice lady pulled us out of the line and brought us to a special needs line so I thought that was nice. The luggage people coming and going were nice and efficient. We look forward to another trip soon out of the Port Of Galveston (and avoiding the airlines!). Thanks againI just wanted to thank you and your staff for going above and beyond. We embarked on a 7 day cruise out of the port and parked in Lot B. I pulled up in the left lane when arriving at the lot and rolled my forward passenger window down to give the attendant my paperwork. Parking was very prompt and in my rush to catch the bus which was departing, I inadvertently left the window down. Upon our return a week later someone in the lot had obviously noticed my error and taped some plastic over the opening which not only kept the rain out but effectively closed it preventing any vandalism. Thank you so much, and if I knew who was responsible I would direct my thanks to them. I looked at your website hoping you had a place to leave comments but couldn’t find one so I am directing this to you. Please pass this along to your staff at Lot B. I would like to say thank you to the Port of Galveston for allowing disabled Veterans complimentary parking at the ship cruise terminal. That is most gracious of you and certainly appreciated. This note is to thank all those with the Port of Galveston Security & parking that were so helpful when our family of 10 cruised with Carnival & parked our 39' motor coach in parking lot "A". I was not on the parking lot with my husband & grandson but the effort on the part of those employees involved resulted in successfully providing electrical power for the week. Special thanks & recognition goes out to Christi & all those others involved in getting us parked. Christi probably knows all those involved and can relay our thanks and appreciation. Service & help beyond just parking was involved & offered in the most friendly & courteous manner. My husband was shuttled to the cruise terminal in plenty of time for the entire family to comfortably check-in at the same time. We also appreciate the friendly & helpful manner of the Galveston city police force on duty at the beginning & also at the end of the week. The loading of luggage (30+ pieces) at the end of the cruise was carried out with courteous help from the police on duty & the porter who served us. Thanks again for all the courteous service provided by the Port of Galveston.
